Anders L. Rasmussen Debuts as a Solo Artist – With a Personal and Genre-Crossing Sound

After more than ten years as a driving force in the hard-hitting rock band Ohmwork, Anders L. Rasmussen is now stepping out on his own. 
Based in Tromsø with roots from Andøya, he is realizing a long-held dream: sharing original music in a more personal and exploratory musical landscape.

As a solo artist, Rasmussen reveals a new side of his musical identity. There are still clear elements of rock, but listeners are also met with a more grounded and melodic expression. This is a natural progression for an artist who has always been curious about new forms and styles — and who dares to challenge his own habits as a songwriter.

His debut album Everyday Hero was released on November 14, 2025 — ten original tracks with a personal touch and fresh musical approaches. The album launch was celebrated with two concerts (!!) at the Mack Brewery venue: starting with an unplugged set in Kjeller 4, followed by a plugged-in show on the Brewery Stage.

Over the past year, Rasmussen has offered several previews to the public: His debut single “The Weight of Life” arrived on November 22, 2024, followed by two interpretations of classics — “Simple Man” (January 17) and “Ruby Tuesday” (February 14). 
This summer, he released the original songs “10 Years from Now” (June 13) and the album’s title track “Everyday Hero” (August 15). 
He continued with two more singles: “Skyward” on September 12 and “Restless” on October 24.

Chris Cort

Chris Cort is a country artist from Oslo. Over the years, he has played in a number of hard rock and metal bands, but country music has always been in his blood. Inspired by the outlaw country scene of the 1970s, with artists like Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, as well as drawing influence from Elvis Presley, Chris released his debut album Broken Country in 2023. Since then, he has performed multiple concerts in Norway, Sweden, and Germany—both solo, with his own band, and alongside established artists. He also spent some time in Nashville, where he played a show. With his unique voice and songs about love, dreams, despair, sorrow, and ambition, Chris Cort’s lyrics and music offer a heartfelt and personal expression and soundscape.
